Manage your profile, subscription, branding, and data from the Settings section of your dashboard.
Profile settings
Go to Dashboard → Settings to update your display name and email preferences. Your email address cannot be changed self-service — contact support@formgenius.co.uk if you need to update it.
You can opt in or out of marketing emails from the Communications tab in Settings. This preference is separate from transactional emails (receipts, notifications) which you will always receive.
Upgrading your plan
Go to Dashboard → Settings → Billing and click Change plan. You’ll see the pricing page with your current plan highlighted. Select the tier you want to upgrade to.
Upgrades are immediate. When you upgrade, your new tier activates straight away. You’re charged a prorated amount for the remainder of your current billing period, then your full new price from the next renewal date. A confirmation dialog shows the exact charge before you confirm.
Downgrading your plan
Downgrades are scheduled for the end of your current billing period. You retain your current tier’s features until the period ends, then drop to the new tier. You will not be charged again at the old rate.

Cancelling
Go to Dashboard → Settings → Billing and click Manage subscription. This opens the Stripe billing portal where you can cancel. After cancellation, you retain access to your paid tier until the end of your current billing period. You will not be charged again.
After the billing period ends, your account reverts to the free tier and a short grace period begins. During this time your projects and submissions remain fully accessible. Once the grace period ends, your account enters a limited state: you can still see your projects and delete them, and submission stats remain visible, but full editing and data export are paused until you re-subscribe.

Custom branding Available on Business
Business accounts can set default branding that is automatically applied to new forms:
- Logo — uploaded image (PNG or SVG recommended). Added as an image element in the top-left of the first page of every new form.
- Default font — applied to all new text elements.
- Colour palette — up to 20 custom colours available as swatches in the colour pickers throughout the editor.
Branding is applied to new forms only. Existing forms are not affected.
Go to Dashboard → Settings → Branding to configure.
Multi-factor authentication
You can add an extra layer of security to your account with TOTP-based multi-factor authentication (MFA). Use any authenticator app — Google Authenticator, Authy, 1Password, etc.
Go to Dashboard → Settings → Profile and scroll to the Security section to set up MFA. Once enabled, you’ll be prompted for your authenticator code each time you sign in.

Downloading your data
Go to Dashboard → Settings → Data and click Download my data. This downloads a JSON file containing your profile information, all your projects, and your form designs. Submission data is not included — export that separately as CSV from the submissions screen.
This export satisfies your right to data portability under UK GDPR.
Deleting your account
Go to Dashboard → Settings → Data and click Delete account. This:
- Immediately cancels your Stripe subscription (no further charges)
- Deletes your profile and all associated data from FormGenius servers (projects, forms, submissions, settings)
- Removes you from the FormGenius mailing list
- Deletes your login credentials
This action is permanent and cannot be undone. There is no recovery period. Download your data first if you want to keep a copy.
